Title: Head and Neck Radiology Description: This tutorial module consists of a series of digitized radiographs which were converted into Macromedia Flash for online distribution. The objective for creating the courseware was to stimulate active self-directed learning. The rationale was to integrate radiology in a structured format that is readily accessible for local and distance learning and self-assessment.
Active learning was achieved by creating five radiology tutorial units that target content areas dealing with standard and cross-sectional anatomy, arterial angiography, and pneumoencephalography. This information is critical to the interpretation of standard X-rays and CT- and MRI-scans. The courseware complements didactic and practical (dissection) activities of first-year professional students enrolled in human anatomy.
